SÜLZLE ‘Best Managed Company’ for the fourth time in a row

Keeping an eye on the future for generations

On 25 May, the SÜLZLE Group was once again honoured with the Best Managed Company Award 2023. This prize is awarded by Deloitte Private, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) to companies that are excellently managed. SÜLZLE wins the award for the fourth time in a row and thus receives the gold status of the seal of approval.

Rosenfeld, 26.05.2023 – The SÜLZLE Group impressed across the board. It impressed the expert panel and a specialist jury of renowned representatives from business, science and the media. Managing Directors Heinrich and Andreas Sülzle accepted the award in Düsseldorf on Thursday. ‘A Best Managed Company like the SÜLZLE Group is characterised by a forward-looking strategy, high productivity and a strong culture of innovation as well as value-oriented corporate management,’ explains Dr Christine Wolter, Partner and Head of Deloitte Private. She also emphasises: ‘The combination of employer attractiveness and economic success in particular gives the Best Managed Companies an important beacon function in the regions.’

The winners are assessed and determined on the basis of the four core award areas of strategy, productivity and innovation, culture and commitment, and governance and finance. Only those who impress in all four categories have a chance of winning the award. ‘Being honoured with this prestigious award for the fourth time makes us proud of our team,’ says Heinrich Sülzle. Together with his brother Andreas, he is the fourth generation to run the family business. ‘We see this award as an incentive to continuously develop our sustainable corporate vision,’ explains Andreas Sülzle.

With its 29 locations, the Rosenfelder Group is firmly rooted in clear values that have been practised for generations. Economic, ecological and social aspects are closely interlinked. SÜLZLE is committed to the topics of steel, energy and the environment. The managing directors combine expertise and innovative strength with sustainable entrepreneurship.

SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is one of the first dealers to offer its customers CO2-neutralised reinforcing steel. The climate protection contribution made by the customer per tonne of reinforcing steel supports projects with a positive effect on the global CO2 balance. This is achieved by offsetting the CO2 emissions generated – from the provision of raw materials to delivery to the construction site.

The pioneer in the reinforcing steel industry entered new business areas such as environmental technology years ago. Here, for example, the subsidiary SÜLZLE KOPF SynGas extracts raw materials such as phosphorus from sewage sludge using special recycling processes.

SÜLZLE is not only constantly developing its own group of companies, but also co-operates with companies that are committed to future topics. Two start-up investments, ARCUS Greencycling Technologies GmbH and Amodes GmbH, are working on efficient raw material recovery and environmentally friendly water desludging. Another project is also being developed on the company’s own initiative on the former brickworks site directly on the A81 motorway: the Green Innovation Park. Companies pursuing the goals of sustainability, collaboration and digitalisation are to settle in the ‘business park of the future’.
