Review SÜLZLE Cup

Exactly 12 weeks ago, the company and authority tournament took place in Balingen. A team from SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION took part for the first time, making it the first international team ever in the tournament. We therefore wanted to know how the players from France fared on the day of the tournament and what they thought of the cup:

‘The SÜLZLE Cup took place on Sunday, 24 July 2022. As we had travelled from far away, the organisers had made sure that we could play our first game at 11 a.m. so that we didn’t have to leave in the early hours of the morning. So we met up with the team members in Drulingen and set off at 7.30am. After almost three hours of travelling, we arrived in Balingen. The organisers and some members of the SÜLZLE team gave us a warm welcome and we received a great set of 11 SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION jerseys. Dressed in the white/blue company colours, all the omens were positive. We were the only French team in the competition.
The standard of some of the teams in the tournament was very high and the games went off without a hitch thanks to the good organisation of the event. We were lucky enough to be cheered on by our German colleagues and by Heinrich and Andreas Sülzle.
Unfortunately, we narrowly failed to qualify for the final round, with a record of 2 wins, 2 draws and only one narrow defeat. Fortunately, there was a bar and snacks available to cheer us up. The day was characterised by a great atmosphere – fun and competition were combined. We would like to thank the organisers for their hospitality, the TSG Balingen club for the infrastructure and look forward to next year, when we can once again experience a day full of fun and exchange.’
