Metro in Rennes

For the Rennes Metro construction project, a total of around 6,207 tonnes of tunnel segments were delivered on behalf of Dodin Campenon Bernard between February 2014 and May 2017. To this end, the tunnel boring machine worked around the clock, day after day, at a depth of up to 25 metres beneath the city of Rennes, so that the tunnel segments forming the tunnel wall could be gradually installed. The tunnel has a diameter of 8.30 metres and a total length of 8,070 metres. The second new underground line in Rennes provides the city with a south-west to north-east connection with 15 stations.
