SÜLZLE “Best Managed Company” for the fourth time in a row
Focus on the future for generations
26.05.2023
On 25 May, the SÜLZLE Group was once again awarded the Best Managed Company Award 2023. This prize is awarded by Deloitte Private, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) to companies that are excellently managed. SÜLZLE wins the award for the fourth time in a row and thus receives the gold status of the seal of approval.
Rosenfeld, 26.05.2023 – The SÜLZLE Group was able to convince all along the line. It impressed the expert council and a specialist jury of renowned representatives from business, science and the media. Managing directors Heinrich and Andreas Sülzle accepted the award on Thursday in Düsseldorf. “A Best Managed Company like the SÜLZLE Group is characterised by a forward-looking strategy, high productivity and a pronounced culture of innovation as well as value-oriented corporate management,” explains Dr. Christine Wolter, Partner and Head of Deloitte Private. Furthermore, she emphasises, “It is precisely through the combination of employer attractiveness and economic success that the Best Managed Companies have an important lighthouse function in the regions.”
The winners are evaluated and determined on the basis of four award core areas: strategy, productivity and innovation, culture and commitment, and governance and finance. Only those who convince in all four categories have a chance of winning the award. “To be awarded this significant prize for the fourth time makes us proud of our team,” says Heinrich Sülzle. Together with his brother Andreas, he is already running the family business in the fourth generation. “We see this award as an incentive to continuously develop our sustainable corporate vision,” explains Andreas Sülzle.
Firmly rooted, the Rosenfelder Group of Companies with its 29 locations stands for clear values that have been lived for generations. In doing so, economic, ecological and social aspects are closely interlinked. SÜLZLE is committed to the topics of steel, energy and the environment. The managing directors combine competence and innovative strength with sustainable entrepreneurship.
SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is one of the first dealers to offer its customers CO2-neutralised reinforcing steel. The climate protection contribution made by the customer per tonne of reinforcing steel promotes projects with a positive effect on the global CO2 balance. This is done by offsetting the CO2 emissions generated – from the provision of raw materials to delivery to the construction site.
The pioneer in the reinforcing steel industry already entered new business fields such as environmental technology years ago. Here, for example, the subsidiary SÜLZLE KOPF SynGas extracts raw materials such as phosphorus from sewage sludge using special recycling processes.
SÜLZLE is not only constantly developing its own group of companies, but is also cooperating with companies that are committed to future topics. Two start-up investments, ARCUS Greencycling Technologies GmbH and Amodes GmbH, are working on efficient raw material recovery and environmentally friendly water de-sludging. Another project is also being developed on the company’s own initiative on the former brickworks site directly on the A81: the Green Innovation Park. Companies pursuing the goals of sustainability, collaboration and digitalisation are to settle in the “industrial park of the future”.
